Viktoriya Korkishko is one of the talented and promising young artists of the Crimean Republican branch of all-Russian creative public organization “Union of artists of Russia”. Victoria became a member of this organization in 2016.
She received her artistic education at the Crimean Art College named after N.S. Samokish (faculty of painting, 2002), then –at Kharkov State Academy of design and arts.
Her specialization is a painter-restorer of easel and monumental painting. She also received additional education at the faculty of Fine arts of the same Academy (specialization: painter, painter -restorer, teacher of painting).
At first she worked as a researcher, as a painter-restorer in Simferopol’s museums. Now she is a lecturer of painting and special courses in Simferopol Art School for children and at the Tavrichesky College.
She is a regular participant of Republican, regional exhibitions and exhibitions of young artists.Victoria participates in the Crimean and national plein air events, such as “The Crimean Provence”, The “Tavrida” all-Russian Youth Educational Forum and others.
Victoria is one of those young artists who loves and understands the Crimean nature, as this lovely nature is familiar to her since childhood. The beauty of nature inspires the artist, fills her with powerful energy. The Crimean motifs are presented not only in landscapes and still life paintings. They are reflected in portraits of relatives and friends.
The artist creates these portraits with great warmth. These portraits reflect not only external similarity, but they also reproduce the inner world, the psychological characteristics of the characters depicted in the pictures.
Victoria tries her hand at creating paintings on genre subjects. Among such pictures are “September”, “Krymchak’s girl” (Krymchaks is one of the Crimean peoples), “Oksana”.
In general, light, romantic and lyrical mood is presented in the paintings of Victoria Korkishko. Mostly, she seeks to convey a bright, light, joyful state of nature and she performs it professionally, nicely and precisely. She reflects her own vision of the Crimean landscapes, still life paintings. Victoria creates her own world of color, shape, images. Among these paintings are: “Oriental still life”, “Morning. Tarhankut”, “Still life with watermelon”, “Bakhchisaray”, “Malorechenskoye”, “Spring in Krasnokamenka”, “Pleasant appointment” and others.
